The important distinction

Your entitlement and your license file are not the same thing.

Private use is free during beta. It is limited to personal, non-commercial work.

A commercial payment covers 12 months. Renewing requires another manual payment; Pixeltje does not charge automatically.

The signed file is the offline proof. Its expiry never extends beyond the commercial term you have purchased.
